Chapter 24 - Tower

All I heard was tearing my ears apart like a loud noise cracking the sky. My fingers were tingling. I informed her about the escape plan and she said, "I'm going to talk with some of the guards, there are still a few who don't believe in minster, it's a good advantage."

When she finished her sentence I heard footsteps, I strode behind the statue of the king. That was Dana saying, "Princess it's time to leave, better not to put our friend in danger".

Anahid nodded and prayed, "I hope my ancestors' blessings follow you on your path, and their prayers may become lights in this darkness."

Then she left fast, I got out of the dark after a while, making sure no one is coming. Dana stood beside me then together, we paid our respects to the king, I decided to tell a painful story about him but not now, but after I repay him.

The king of Parthia was laid in a cold sarcophagus. His sculpture was above his head. Golds and treasures had well-illustrated to his eternal room. The top of his stony coffin his face engraved perfectly. But those eyes weren't shiny anymore. At least not in our mortal world. So I was willing that the guardians of the death gate allowed him to pass comfortably.

"Master Dena, who is this Minister Pouyeh exactly and why me?" I asked him before he takes his leave,

"I don't know my darling Asaya, but no cruel man remains on throne seat so don't give up". He remarked and left me there beside dead who got no sound to explain.

"My dear heaven court, I won't step back but I expect you do something. Since the day I went for saving my father all my life has changed. Give me a hand since it is related to you and that stick. I don't want to get involved with that". I said and still believe all of those rebels are for the stick. The true person in danger wasn't my father, but the king and now his son.

I returned to the inn and found a paper on my bed. Oria asked me to return to my uncle Shareeq's house. I didn't hesitate and headed there. Seemed she saw some of her relatives there.

Oria was sitting in her room and waiting. Already had set a table. During the eating, I told her everything about my unexpected meeting with princess Anahid and the fact that our plan had changed a little but we will receive help. We rechecked the planning process. We couldn't find any problem because we were assured all we were about to be a huge mistake itself! And we wanted to do it anyway.

The fortune goddess may smile upon us, I guessed. But she became more worried and we had no other way to enter in. Voyaging had written in our fate and long before it was confirmed. After she fell asleep I picked some parchment papers to write what had happened all this time because I have no idea what is going to happen tomorrow.

I could have felt a strange cold around myself since two hours earlier, it was like a familiar spirit walking near me and listening to everything that I had to say carefully while crying, not even sure if we had something in common. Maybe the angel of death is chasing me.

Asana finished the diaries and only an hour left since she started.

"Alright now I know who this girl is and where I am, but what do you want from me?" She shouted the last part.

Abruptly, a vortex shape circle appeared behind her. Light flashed out, able to make eyes blind. Asana rose her seat, her jaw dropped, "What the heck is this?" then screeched as the vortex devoured her within. She was screaming the whole time during whirling over each ring.

She closed her eyes and then stroke to the ground by the face. She coughed and finally could feel her physical shape. "You broke my ribs, damn you," Her palms kissed the white earthenware marble floor. Her body contorted. Cursed underneath. She felt the gentle white silk dress on her skin. She liked that, but the pain on the back of her scapula wasn't pleasant.

"Rise you minx", a melodize voice went on.

"To be honest, I'm scared now this is bullshit", she murmured as she heard the sound of wings flutter, snacked into her ears. She felt something on her shoulders. Her eyes wide opened at the thought. "Those aren't just counterfeit... to fool around right? One of those that people wear on Halloween."

Asana touched them. Very soft and pure black. She drew her knees underbelly. She covered her eyes with hands then dragged them away, "No this way won't work", then she slapped herself. "Ouch".

"She is an idiot", again another melodize voice said, and she rolled her eyes slowly up to see who those are. But she saw feathers across her eyes, covered her. She sprung up. The black wings obeyed her and she flew up but terrified. So again the gifts led her down and she got smashed to the floor and again cursed. It happened almost five times.

"I'm tired of this", one of the voices said to another one who was laughing the whole time.

One of the voices sighed and said, "They are obeying you just give them the order as you do to your hands. Let your conscious mind control them. Finish this show we don't have that much time-wasting here on you."

"Who the hell are you?" She cried out. Her face was black and blue out of knocking down over and over.

She followed the guidance the woman gave her. This time rose warily. The wings got open wide, she looked imaginable. Her wish came true. She smiled eagerly. As she could feel the pain it wasn't a dream at all. She massaged her face and said, "Alright I'm here to listen to you, why did you drag me here?"

She took a glimpse around her. But just realized that this place isn't a normal one and again watched the world she got in. The place she was, got no roof. It was all blue sky above her head, birds were flying.

She blinked her eyes. Wonder made her mouth wide open. They weren't birds! Angels with a different color of wings! Like gangs of pigeons, hawks, eagles, doves, etc.

Her eyes rolled down. A tower in the sky with the only god knows how many floors it had gotten! Pillars were connecting each floor. She definitely was on the first floor that she could see all of the above. Surveying there by eyes almost teased her neck.
