Liam's POV:
Why don't I feel any pain even after he pulled the trigger? Did he miss me? I opened my eyes and realized that he didn't actually shoot me. I was completely fine. Patterson was the one who got shot.
Patterson was lying down on the ground clutching his leg.
Hugo glared down at his father furiously. "How dare you try to kill my mother. What did she even do to you? She is your wife, for heaven's sake."
"Son, she was lying. You know that she is mentally ill," Patterson defended himself. " And Liam was the one who killed your mother. It would be best if you did not spare him. Shoot him now."
'Save your breath, Daddy," Henry interrupted. " Mom is still alive, and she confessed everything about you. And we verified everything that she said with the surveillance footage that was attached to Eaton's rented car. We know that you are lying."
