Mathew's POV:
I stormed inside the hospital in which the witness was admitted. Carter and I went to the receptionist desk.
" May I help you," the old lady on the desk greeted us.
" We are here to see the survivor girl of the shootout."
Her pleasant expression got severe. " That young girl is a mess. How are you related to that poor girl?"
I took out my ID card and flashed it at her. " I am a special agent, and I am here to interrogate that young girl. She is probably linked with the Mafias, and it is crucial for my case to question her. Now can you please tell me where she is?"
All the warmth that she had in her eyes disappeared immediately. " You heartless cops don't value the emotions of a victim. That poor thing lost her husband and her child. Why can't you give her a day or two to heal herself?"
