"Hailee!" A woman's voice was heard calling her name as soon as Hailee and Ramon got out of their car.
The journey back to town A was tiring, but Hailee had enough time to take a refreshing nap in the car after Ramon shared how he felt about Giana.
"Mother?" Hailee smiled when she saw Lis who was walking in a hurry to greet her. "I can't reach you for the past few days."
"Oh yeah… I'm in a place where it is difficult to get a signal," Lis said and because her focus was on Hailee, she missed the meaningful look her son gave her. "I just heard the news of your pregnancy!"
"Ah, that…" Hailee lowered her head, she couldn't bear to look at Lis when the still beautiful middle-aged woman said it in a quite loud voice. "Yeah… we just found out about it."
"I didn't expect to become a grandmother so soon," Lis complained, but from the look in her eyes, she looked very happy to hear the news.
