Candice spent the day at Tordoff's building, inside Lexus' office, watching the man at work when the issue of the kidnapping of his brother and sister-in-law surfaced in the media.
Lexus looked different when he turned serious. He looked even more terrifying when he was like that and the shadow of his always cheerful and never even raising voice self vanished in an instant.
But somehow Candice liked it. He looked more authoritative and responsible.
And while Candice wasn't much help with the search for Ramon and Hailee, at least she made an effort to help with little things and made sure she was there to support him.
And Lexus was very grateful to Candice for that.
