This was the first time for Apple to be at the Tatum residence, which was Jayden's maternal home.
Several maids immediately came to welcome them both and an old maid who seemed to have worked in this house for a long time and was very familiar with Jayden immediately approached Apple and asked a question that took her by surprise.
"Are you Jayden's lover?" she asked in a teasing voice. "This is the first time Jayden has brought a woman into this house."
"No, I'm not his girlfriend," Apple replied immediately.

And what annoyed Apple even more was that the old woman believed what Jayden said.
Of course she trusted the manipulative man more, so Apple just let them be, because it would be useless to correct this.
