Currently, Morana was standing in white space, basement under the de Laval castle, ready to start her trial. Before entering, her father had warned her that most of the cards already had owners, but there were still quite a few strong ones left in the deck. The cards were semi-sentient, and they were apparently quite picky to whom they gave their allegiance. The stronger the card was, the harder and weirder it was to accrue it.
Morana quietly observed a single silver box in the room. The box was made out of material that Morana recognized as Melisyan silver. The box was smooth, almost too smooth, with no apparent damage or imperfections. Morana walked towards the box, and as Leonie had explained to her, she cut her palm and dripped her blood on the box. The reaction was instantaneous, immediately shining, red runes of all sizes and shapes covered the box and started to shine brighter and brighter.
