Marlena blinked a few times in disbelief before she let out a laugh. "I don't believe you. You just want to keep me away from him."
Regina simply scoffed. "What exactly would I gain from that? Our family tree may be the most twisted I have ever seen but you and him are not in any way related. Besides, I don't know Destrian that well but I know his family. He must have been brought up to be a caring young man who will treat you with love and respect. If you were to fall in love with him, what could I possibly have against that?"
Marlena swallowed with no retort. Just like she had done with other questions she was asked, Regina had evaded answering but instead threw the question back at Marlena in a way that left her speechless.
