"My lady, what's going on?" Ylvia took careful steps towards her.
Delaney showed Ylvia her claws, her eyes tearing up. "Why does this have to happen?"
"It's okay." Ylvia hugged her despite her protest.
"It's not okay. Everyone's going to know I'm a demoness. Do you know any way to hide them?"
Ylvia walked over to the closet and rummaged for a while before returning with a pair of gloves.
"That's not going to hide their shape. Can't I just cut them?" She knew the claws would be obvious—if they didn't tear through the gloves, that is.
"Do you trust me?" Ylvia asked. When she nodded, Ylvia took her hand and slid a glove on it. The pain Delaney was expecting didn't happen. Instead, her gloved hand claws were retracted. She stared at it in disbelief. "What did you do? What kind of gloves are these?"
