It was the Phoenix. The big, red, fiery bird was now above them, clearly angered at something they didn't even recognize.
"Why are you doing this..?" Aria was puzzled as she tried to converse with the beast in its language.
This was unlike everything she had heard about the Phoenix!
"Wasn't it you who called me here? Tickling my ears thousands of times, trying to incite a reaction out of me? I am finally here, I have answered your calls." The Phoenix replied in turn, using a language that Aria was proficient in and thus was able to understand.
"..I don't know what you're talking about. I do have the ability to converse in the divine beasts' language, but it wasn't me."
"Nonsense! Forget about that and return my child this very instant!" The Phoenix roared once again. This time, its anger unconsciously released balls of scorching hot fireballs from the spark of its wings.
Aria clicked her tongue.
