Chapter 65 - Chapter Sixty_Five: Acceptance?

Aria was still in shock from what she had seen, she had never expected Quin to be that ruthless and to not care about what she had done to the man. All she knew that Quin was no ordinary maid and if all maids were like this in this castle, she would have to be careful. She would have to watch where her feet threaded on and count her remaining days as though a blessing.

A part of her wondered what had the man done to her that was so bad that her punishment would even follow him after death. She also wondered why it seemed as though Quin had foes in high places as she could see how the female Judge looked at Quin. It was clear that both woman had rubbed bad energy onto each other and continued to resent each other for that.

Aria questioned everything and wondered where her soul would go if she failed or if she just died. She wondered if she would ever find some sort of peace in her life because of everything and it made her mind race back to when she had made that deal. She wondered if she shouldn't just let her mothers soul rest and dealt with the self hate or just easily killed herself as a bargain to god.

A life for a life.

But hey the devil was quick to offer up a deal and she took it, thinking it would be wiser and look where she ended up. Now she was staring at the window, taking in the sight of everything that had once seemed so foregin an still was but she knew she would have to learn to embrace it. Even though she wasn't sure if she would ever call it her home.

She heard a door and just ignored it, knowing that Quin had left her on purpose because she had barely even spoken a word to her for what she had did. She hadn't spared the woman a look as soon as they returned and just headed to her room. Knowing that today had been too much for her to swallow, too much to accept but now here was another, intruding on her time alone.

Hearing the knock again, she continued to ignore it, knowing that she had told everyone to leave her alone but if the guard at her door had allowed the person to continue knocking than it had to be someone important. When the knock came again, she released a heavy sigh and headed to the door. Ready to tell the person to leave her alone but when her eyes locked with the fiece gold ones, her words seem to get stuck in her throat.

James would laugh at her being tongue tied because of a man, Aria was rarely speechless because of a man and this was one thing that showed her that she was completely out of place. "King Silver," she greeted, more like questioned but nevertheless bowed at him and waited for him to let her rise up as Quin had taught her how everything in this kingdom worked.

"Please do rise, uhm, I heard you weren't okay and I hope you don't mind me coming to check up on you." He said calmly, his eyes boring into hers as if trying to read her but she knew how to keep herself calm.

Slightly.

Yet that didn't mean she didn't forget everything that had transpired between them since she entered the castle. The strangling, the insults and not to mention the secret dance that had happened between them. She wasn't sure how to take in all the different faces that he had seemed to show her and it made the thought of being married to him bittersweet. As she didn't know how everything would be once they decided to tie the knot.

"I am slightly okay, I've just had an interesting lesson with Quin, she's showed me a lot when it came to judgement and I am kind of overwhelmed by it so I decided to take a time out, let it sink in rather than be too quick to whale… If you understand what I mean." She admitted, seeing no point of lying to him as she knew that he must be able to see ones word.

"Ahh, that's understandable, that's a lesson that usually changes the perspective of… everyone. If I may, maybe I can show you something that may well end the lesson on a sweeter note, compared to how she released it to you," He offered, making Aria stare at him with curiousity as this was the first time they hadn't insulted each other or said something that could rail the other up.

"Uhm… sure I guess," she said, unsure of how to react as soon as she stepped out, he chuckled an said, "You might want to wear your shoes," Her eyes brows furrowed and when she looked down, she noticed her bare feet that were noticeable since her dress was not long enough to cover them. Her face turned pink with embrassement as she turned and hurried back to the room, looking for her heels.

Once on, she noticed him offer his hand to her, remembering one of the lessons that Quin had taught her about this gesture from the man here.

'If a man here offers his hand, his trying to get your attention, read you, reel you in. His interested, so be weary as to who you offer your hand to or simply accept, as in this realm, If one does this and it's not when you are dancing or in a meeting to try and greet you. When you accept, your body allows them to be closer and to take in your aura easily, to read your mind same as you from them. Always be vigilent, Aria and ask yourself, do you really want to see what's in them and do you want them to see what's in you'

Aria looked up at him and wondered, if this was the right decision for both of them as they hadn't really seen the best from each other.
