When Jess went limp inside his arms as she sobbed pitifully, his heart was squeezed painfully inside his chest, listening to her soft cries. He slightly bent down and picked her up from the floor and carried her in his arms into his bedroom.
"Hush baby, don't cry, please." He whispered about her head as he walked. He kicked his bedroom door open for he doesn't want to put down Jess just to open the door.
Jess stopped sobbing but she tightened her hold around his shoulder. He had to peel off her arms around him when he put her down on his bed. "Baby, look at me, please."
She buried her face on his chest instead of doing what he asked. She shook her head and circled her arms around his neck.
