The trio didn't stay in the office for much longer. After Aila found out the reasoning behind some of the lycans' inability to shift into their human forms, she wanted to help instantly. Though, they still had other matters to discuss. So, Chase and Damon followed her through the garden and towards the guest housing near the woods.
But that didn't stop them from discussing further. Their pack members were busy with their usual tasks and training, so their private conversation was fine to discuss.
"So, Chase, you are the man in charge now. How does it feel?" Aila grinned, looking over her shoulder at Chase, who followed behind the Alpha and Luna.
"A lot of fricken work," Chase grumbled, but Aila knew he didn't mind. The hunters, their enemies for centuries, had helped them with Cassius, and it was all down to Chase.
