Zamarad put her babies to sleep and turned her attention back to Arsalan who seemed to be lost in his thoughts. It was a rare thing. She recognized the look in his eyes at first glance. She had the same look in her eyes before leaving Shahzad.
She didn't say a thing. She waited for him to initiate the conversation. Arsalaan felt a bit embarrassed by the situation but he wa the one with questions. He ought to start the conversation first.
" Zamarad, did you ever feel betrayed by the father of your children? How did you end up making up?" That was his opening remark. He felt ashamed asking about it directly. The best way he could think of was by asking indirectly.
