He stood in the same spot he has been standing for days. Just watching her cry so pitifully. It broke his heart. Between them was a transparent wall which tries as he may, he couldn't break through.

Deliberate or unconscious, she had wanted desperately to protect herself from the world.
This was after all her soul. The most sacred part of her existence. She must have felt truly vulnerable to do this.
