"Uh, I'm hungry," Charna mutters. 

"Okay, well, first, how many undead birds were there?" Mom asks as she runs over to the kitchen and whips open the refrigerator door. 

She takes out a few eggs the size of her fist and throws them onto the counter. 

Regular eggs would've splattered, but these eggs didn't even crack. 

"The usual amount…." I reply, sitting down on the white, wooden chair lined with different gems. 

I sighed and sunk into my chair, feeling exhaustion rush through my body as if it was adrenaline. 

"Don't worry… Today is a rest day," Mom says. 

"I know," I reply, glancing at Mia, who was strangely interested in Ethel's clothing brand. 

To be honest, none of the clothes she made fit my taste as it was designer rather than street or tech wear. 

Suddenly, Ethel sighed so loud it echoed through the room. 

"What's wrong?" Mom asks, cracking the eggs into a metal bowl before whisking them.
