"Honey, just calm down for a second," I smiled at Mia, who was still unamused by the answer.
The roles had completely switched as Mia was calming me down earlier, but now I was the one calming her down. Thankfully, one of us was peaceful at the time. Otherwise, our daughter would have probably just got up and left, leaving us to argue and mostly put the impression in our precious child's mind that were going to break up.
"I hope you understand that I'm not about you going out in the middle of the night with a boy. As long as you are safe, you feel safe, and you follow whatever laws need to be followed, you can do whatever you want. But meeting one to one with the enemy is just asking for an ass beating!
