Satsuhiro had gone back into the building a few minutes ago. Kaori stood outside, in front of the spirit gardens. Her legs wouldn't move just yet. She wanted to get going, as she knew that any moment now those civilians could be in a worse spot than when the mission was written up, but she was hesitant.
She couldn't remember the last time she did anything alone. Truly alone. Even before she became part of Ash's group, people had been trying to manipulate her and that meant that she'd always had people around her. Right now, however, she was about to head out on her own.
You need this, she told herself. Get out there, fight some stuff, and... Maybe you can come back without being such a mess. Who knows?
