Ash
That night, as Ash went back to her bed, she walked through an empty house and entered her room with soft, light footsteps, trying not to wake Keiko up. Little did she know, Keiko was up already, as Ash noticed when she stepped in and found Keiko with her hands behind her head, looking up at the ceiling. She turned toward her and Ash sighed.
"Did I wake you earlier?"
"No," Keiko shook her head. "I couldn't really fall asleep."
"Gotcha."
Ash went and laid down next to her, taking up the spot Kaori had taken these last couple of nights. She let out a slow breath and crossed her legs, joining Keiko in staring at the ceiling.
"... I really hope this helps her," Ash muttered.
