A few hours later, Ash, Keiko, Kaori, Sinneah, Yumi, and Kasumi all gathered around the kitchen table.
"Okay, what the fuck are we going to do?" Ash asked, beginning the necessary discussion. This was it, it was time to figure out their course of action.
Kasumi was the first to speak. She did so quietly, without much energy, which let Ash guess that she probably wanted to go right back to sleeping as quickly as possible.
"I'm still convinced Alkoth's plan is the best," she said. "No one has to die, no sacrifices... Just one more portal that needs closing."
"Right," Ash replied. "You said something about a... bigger portal or something?"
"Yes," Kasumi responded, nodding. "The one that connects all of them. We close that one, and Alkoth will have the power to wipe the gods' memories. Including his own," she added.
"And, all of humanity," Keiko threw in from beside Ash. "Is that really something we want to do?"
