It was already midnight after Chi Mingwei finally finished giving his statement. After Chi Jiao paid his bail, Chi Mingwei could go home for now and wait for the police to contact him.
There was no concrete evidence to prove that Chi Mingwei was the one who killed Fang Xiaowei. They had to wait for the detailed autopsy report first.
Huo Chen personally saw Chi Jiao and the others out of the police station.
Just as Chi Jiao was about to get into the car and leave, Huo Chen suddenly called out to her.
"Officer Huo, is there anything else?" Chi Jiao turned around.
"Jiaojiao, I believe that your father is innocent. Don't worry, I will do my best to help find evidence and arrest the real culprit," Huo Chen said as he stared at her.
Chi Jiao didn't notice the hidden emotions in his eyes as he looked at her. She just smiled and nodded. "Thank you, Officer Huo."
With that, she got into the car and closed the door.
