As Wang Fang rushed out of the student lounge to deal with her other assistant, Shu Xian and Professor Pan An were left alone in the room. The tension between them was palpable, but neither of them wanted to make the first move.
However, Shu Xian was the first one to break the silence.
"What if other people see us together like this?" she asked, her voice tinged with panic.
Pan An raised an eyebrow, clearly amused by her concern.
"What's the big deal?" he replied. "We're just a couple having a conversation."
"I know… but in secret because we're both done for if we're not careful!" Shu Xian blushed, feeling foolish for overreacting. "But yeah, I know…" she said, "I just want to be safe and I don't want them getting the wrong idea…"
Pan An chuckled. "What wrong idea? That we're two people having a conversation in a student lounge?" he teased.
