Mr. M could no longer bear to see Samantha in that state. He also hated the way she was offering herself to him just to find Renz and Selene.
He felt like Samantha was only seeing him as a bad guy… as a despicable person who was capable of hurting her friends.
Part of him didn't want Samantha to think that he was a bad person. At least for Samantha, he wanted to look like a good person.
Mr. M held her shoulders and pulled her up. "Stop it, Sam. You don't have to do this."
Samantha shook her head and insisted, "Tell me what you want. Please help us to find Renz and Selene. Did you kidnap them?"
"No. I didn't." Mr. M promptly responded.
Samantha felt disheartened. She didn't know if Mr. M would help them or not. He seemed to be unwilling.
"Can you please do this favor for me… for one last time…" Samantha continued begging him.
Mr. M just heaved a deep sigh while rubbing the space between his brows.
