Hua Ro flew over to the spot he had met that little oyster and peered at the calm ocean. 'That Mer might be lying but it doesn't hurt to try,' with the goal in mind he flew as high as he could past the clouds and swooped down at high speed.
Cold wind assaulted his face, but he kept his undamaged eye open as he was falling at high speed. He ploughed into the blue sea. At his speed, while entering the ocean, water cut him like a knife. The salty water was filling up his nostrils. So he froze them and his beak to avoid drowning. He tiredly closed his eyes and endured.. All for that little oyster.
His speed slowly decreased. He speared his wings and flapped them in a way that helped him dive deeper underwater.
Suddenly he felt a strong presence to his right.
He coolly glanced sideways to find an imposing dark haired Jia swimming closer to him.
Unfreezing his mouth, he screeched loudly to warn her.
"Roc, anything under water is our prey and so are you. Don't say we broke the treaty. Mers get into formation!!!" thousands of Mers surrounded him in all directions suspended waiting for the order to attack.
Hua Ro silently glared at Jia.
The white-haired Mer, Matilda, joined her with a smug expression. "Mers attack now!"
Thousand of tridents flew his way in high speed. Some Mers even swam above him, slashing the base of his wings and his head.
"SCREEECHHH!!!" he screamed in pain. 'These darn pests I never should have let them live...' his spiritual energy strongly emerged out of him, forming huge ice shards around him.
"Fall back!! He is trying I freeze everything!! Fall back now!!!"
Few Mers who were engaging him in close contact all got caught in his icy coffin freezing to death.
He turned to Jia and Metilda and loudly screeched. 'I will leave no one alive today!!!' with his wounded wings he swam towards them, forming an icy path in front of him.
Jia gritted her teeth loudly... "Retreat!!! Retreat now!!" before she left, she launched her high speed trident at him in order to slow him down a little.
The Roc was who swimming sloppily did not have the talent to evade it. It pierced right into his shoulder blade dangerously close to his heart. 'tsk. I will deal with them all later...' he swam up to the surface swiftly. His injured left wing was of no help now so he froze the water in front of him to form a huge tube like structure that led him directly to the surface. He slowly clawed his way out.
Reaching the surface, he swiftly jumped out and flew over to his home, the distant volcanic islands of Halius.
The heat and the flames surged as he got close and the volcano spurted out copious amount of lava...
Not minding all this he changed back to his human form. His long braided hair gently swayed behind him as he waved over to his cavern. When he saw a small figure run over to him, he swiftly froze over the wounded parts of his body.
"Master..." a little chipmunk ran over to him with a pine nut in its mouth. "Master, did you defeat that big baddy Phoenix,"
"No, but soon I will." He said with a small smile.
"Yeah!! Soon we shall have a new home!" the little chipmunk ran over to his shoulders and nuzzled against him. "Master is the best. The fishes always say that the eastern islands have the best nut called a chestnut... I get to eat it soon then. Master, why have you frozen your eye and shoulders,"
"Hmm, simply. Why don't you go get me a coconut?" The little chipmunk cheerfully ran away with his cute tail raised. After it left Hua Ro tiredly sat on a huge rock that was also his bed and took out a small jar of healing elixir. "Darn those mer.... I will definitely capture them and roast them in this volcano for sure."
He applied liberal amount to his bleeding wounds until they healed. But there were two wound that was stubborn and refused to heal. His torn heart and his eye. That phoenix's claws had torn through his chest and burned it so that he could not even heal it with his magic elixirs. But this wound can heal with time. On the other hand, the damage to his eye was irreversibly. "soon.... I have to defeat him soon. He is getting stronger by the day,"
To hide his damaged eye, he simply wore an eye patch he had once stolen from a pirate. As for his heart he just bandaged it with a clean towel and started his hibernation to heal it.
