Calter opened his mouth just to close it again in the next second. There were millions of words he wanted to say to Kence to change his mind but they were completely stuck in his throat
He was feeling so suffocated he doesn't even know what to do or react. The only thing that he was able to do was to make his face reflect his pain
Why? Why is Kence suddenly like this? Why is it so easy for him to say words like that?

In romance novels or series, isn't the male lead supposed to lose control over their emotion and show violent reactions? Why did Calter recover this fast? Is his love for Kence that shallow that he wouldn't even react much after he told him that he wants to break up?
All these negative thoughts were filling Kence's mind, not knowing how hard it is for Calter to control his emotions. Calter is just afraid that he would make a mistake if he becomes too agitated that will result in him losing Kence
Instead of provoking Calter's emotions, it was Kence that was not able to control himself and his whole being was filled with anger. He can't help but clench his fists hard to the point that veins were popping in them already
"ARE YOU DEAF?! I SAID WE'RE OVER! I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU ANYMORE!" Kence shouted angrily while making sure that no tears will come out from his eyes. He doesn't want to show any kind of weakness at all. For him, that would be a shameful thing considering how it was him that wants to end things
If Kence was focusing on Calter and not his own emotions, he would see how the man's body trembled with his words. The words that felt like sharp knives skinning Calter alive
It was like Calter is receiving the cruelest torture in the world yet he can only desperately keep his calm. He might break down in the spot if he shattered his facade. If Calter showed a pathetic side of himself to Kence, wouldn't that just make his man more determined to leave him?
"Stop shouting, let's talk in private"
Calter's calm tone just irks Kence more and he can't help but feel even more bitter. Kence moved his head around to see many eyes focusing on the dramatic scene that is currently happening
Of course, Calter is this calm since they are currently in public. There are a lot of judging eyes here and it wouldn't be good for Calter's reputation
If this matter was known to the Sternix Family, wouldn't they reprimand Calter for this?

"If that's how it looks for you then fine, think however you like just don't bother me" Kence said before starting to walk away. His knees might give out any moment now and the mask he is wearing will soon be destroyed. When that time comes, he might continue clinging to his stupid feelings and stay in a relationship that will just hurt him
However, when Kence is just on Calter's side, he was grabbed in the arm for the nth time. Somehow, this physical contact makes Kence feel like he was receiving the sorrow that Calter is experiencing
Kence just dismissed that as an illusion though and he tried to get away but he found out that he can't. It was like his body was desperately wanting to be touch by Calter like this and the warmth from it is soothing the cold temperature of his body
"D-don't leave me .... please" Calter muttered in a low voice. He sounds like a broken child and the suffocating feeling that Kence had just grown stronger
The tone that Calter uses touches the deepest part of Kence's heart. It was only his rational mind that is stopping him from coming back in Calter's embrace
Kence always thought that the people who cannot leave the person that hurts them because of love are stupid. He didn't think that he might become one of those stupid people tonight
Calter's tone makes Kence unsure of what to do. His heart wants to keep trying but his mind wants to prevent him from getting hurt again. Kence was torn apart and he doesn't know what to do
"I-I will give you everything I have. House, jewelry, condos, villas, cars, money, resorts. Everything will be yours. I will always provide you with everything that I can. You don't need to work hard anymore. Being an actor is tiring, right? You don't even have that much freedom. Just quit and I'll make sure to give you a leisure life with you having more than enough money to spend"
Calter is truly desperate now. Despite him trying his best for their relationship, he was in fact still insecure. He was afraid of messing things up that he can only project a cool-headed image. But now, his image was starting to crumble
The wonderful life that Calter imagined he will have with Kence is currently shattering. He can only try to glue the pieces back desperately causing him to utter such words

If it was other people, Calter would surely pay them back millions of times more for that punch. But this is Kence that we are talking about. Even the dragon's pride that seeps into Calter's blood and bones can't force him to harm his beloved
"Bastard, do you think I'm an object?! When did I ever need a man to provide for me?! I may not be as rich as you but I have more than enough money to enjoy a rich life! Don't you fucking dare look down on me!" Kence madly said while grabbing Calter's collar again and looking at him straight to the eyes
That was a mistake on Kence's part though. The pathetic look in Calter's golden pupils starts to melt all the negative emotions he has
Calter looks so devastated and lifeless like a broken doll. How can Kence not feel guilty and hurt at seeing him like this?
However, Kence can't let himself be swayed like this and he immediately moved his head away from Calter. He is afraid that he will melt from the looks that his favorite golden eyes were giving him
"I-I just don't want you to leave me ..." Calter said honestly. He was a bit dizzy due to Kence's punch but that is not the only reason why he looks so broken like this
Seeing Kence firm in wanting to leave made him feel like someone pushed him into a sea of cold water. It causes him to feel terribly weak as if someone drained all of his energy
The man that he loves and cared for was so determined to leave him. What is the purpose of life if he can't even stay with the most important person of his life?
The Calter Sternix that was always confident was nowhere to be seen. His dominating nature cannot be seen anymore as if it didn't even exist in the first place
