Chapter Hundred and eighteen
"No. Don't say that. Don't you dare say that" Jason closed his eyes briefly with his head tilted just a little to the right. He moved his head like he wanted to work out the kinks in his neck muscles.
"What would ever prompt you to think I will even stay with someone willing to let children suffer. Leave! I don't want to ever see you again"
McKenna turned to go but Jason's hand stopped her. He held her tightly on the arm.
"You don't mean what you are saying. You love me, remember?" Jason was frantic. He held her face and kissed her lips but she just wouldn't react.
"You love me! You love me, McKenna! You just told me that. Don't do this please. I love you" Jason was so close to breaking down in tears. If sobbing in public like a child was going to make her rescind her statement then he was willing to do that.
