Chapter hundred and forty three
It took McKenna a while to realize that the man she was hugging had drifted off to sleep. She could hear him snore softly and she felt the way his head rested on her shoulder.
"Jason! Jason! Are...y-you are sleeping?"
He was twice her body weight and twice her height. And she was beginning to feel his entire body weight on her little body. She pushed him gently and when that didn't work she shoved him harder.
"Jason! Wake up. God! Why on earth would you get yourself so drunk....? Jason, I can't carry you. Please wake up... please"
McKenna pushed him harder and he stirred but was barely lucid. She took the opportunity to get him to her car... actually it was Elena's car, she was just borrowing it. She figured Jason could always come back for his car in the morning when he was sober.
