Seraphine took a hold of her necklace, feeling it cool down little by little.
The nygel found her greatly mystified. Getting the impression that she knows very little about her situation, it decides to meddle and asks, "Excuse me, my lady, may I ask what did the lord tell you about that necklace?"
"Oh, it's a gift. Something like a protective charm," Seraphine answered, having a not-so good feeling about this.
"Huh? That's all?"
"Why? Is there supposed to be more?"

"Well, what he has given you is a magical ornament. Its making is an ancient practice."
She is beginning to get unsettled at this point. It's just one discovery after another. And they don't please her one bit. She can't believe she didn't know about these.
The water horse squeezes its eyes shut and mumbles, "It's a mark of ownership."
