"Lady Carmine is missing."
As soon as Pacifica dropped that news, Historia went frozen still.
She went on to inform her that no one had seen her in Sapphire Palace for the past few days even though she should've been under house arrest by Merlin's order. The Magic Tower still hasn't confirmed if Seraphine is really a dark magic wielder or not, and since everyone is focused on the founding anniversary, her case is momentarily buried under the occasion.
"No worries. I've been keeping an eye on her the whole time. Though I failed to find out her current whereabouts, I'd been notified that she'd been seen a couple of times in Claudette's chambers," Pacifica explained, regarding Historia contemplatively.
"I see. Makes sense. They're close friends, after all. Even the other noblewomen in their circle are still defending Lady Carmine."
