Seraphine couldn't expect that she'd be able to stay out of range for a long time.
On her way out of the castle, she passed through several maids and menservants whose scrutinizing looks were enough to tell her that they were judging her not only by her not-so attractive features but also by her not-so special qualities. Some regard her with disappointment while others do so with disdain. It's to be expected, though. She did pop out of nowhere - and was even introduced as the lover of the Crown Prince, which was completely out of everyone's expectations of him.
Nobody would've guessed that Eric would choose a commoner like Seraphine.
'Let's just ignore them. Not like I can do anything about what they have to say to me...' she told herself as she picked up her pace and pretended like she did not hear them gossiping about her.
'At least at this point, I still can't do anything.'
