Friends? Which friends is he talking about? She was clueless. Turning around, Jennifer saw the usual smirk on his face.
"I don't have any friends here." Was her short reply but then he made it briefer, "I meant friends… in the forest. Your favorite creepy crawlies. Those frogs, snakes.."
The realization struck her mind when she understood the deeper meaning behind his words. He was shamelessly teasing her because of her fear of the creepy crawlies!
'C'mon Jennifer, who asked you to reveal your fear to this stranger so easily? Here you are now, being teased by a stranger.' She passed him a cold look but he didn't seem to care.
"What? You didn't? I thought that you must be interested to meet your dearest friends so you went inside the forest."The loud waves of laughter were heard and this made her mood even sourer.
His words were no less than any sarcastic manner, to make her once again lose her calm. But this time, all Jennifer did was to look at his face with her narrowed eyes.
