"Mother told me that father has someone in his life and she doesn't want to stay with him anymore. I never asked for details since I was so much absorbed by the fact that my family was breaking into two pieces."
"Yet in the end, I understood her concern. She was of high self-respect, she won't accept herself being betrayed in this. Although, they both were never mutually divorced until her death….later on, she always addressed herself as Ms. Anderson."
Jennifer nodded her head remembering when she went to the lady's grave, why did he ask her to call her Ms. Anderson but not Mrs. Johnson. Yet the story was already embedded in her mind.
