Aubrey's eyes move to the corner where Harper and Joe lay on the ground, asleep. Then she looks back at the old man's face to see the resemblance on their faces. He could have shapeshifted into her father or he could be her real father who has risen from the dead to come to her.
"Then I was told to find you and take your life." He says nonchalantly, "Then if I can complete all of it, I would be given more time to live in the human world and I won't have to return to the underworld." He laughs to himself in low grunts coming from his chest.
