The fight went on outside and with the help of king Luther, we were winning. Empress Liah got infuriated from where she was watching us so she started to throw magical fire balls, setting some parts of the city ablaze. This time king Luther decided to confront her face to face. "What do you think you're doing?" He said as he appeared behind her and she turned around to face him. "I will burn you Luther. Don't you dare stop me" she said panting in anger.
"Back off Liah. My bride owns this kingdom and that means whatever happens here is my business" king Luther said unseriously.
"You somehow manage to intrigue me. Why did you make yourself my enemy cousin?"
Hold on, Liah is Luther's cousin. Which means she's also Torren's cousin.
"The friend of my enemy is my enemy and the enemy of my enemy is my friend" Liah continued.
"I see that's why we became friends 150 years ago. Torren and I were enemies and you were his enemy as well but then I don't think I was your friend Liah. I was your frenemy. And thanks to your abilities I was able to take away the one thing that Torren loved the most"
"And you're still taking it now. Luther, I don't care if we were friends or frenemies, stay away from Darca"
"And if I don't little empress, what will you do?, come on we've fought battles in the past and I always win, perhaps that's the reason you want to turn yourself to a goddess. To become invincible". Luther really knew how to get on Liah's nerves and bring out the worst in her. Liah quickly threw a fire ball at Luther who sent it back to her. "Thought you'll have more interesting tricks by now Liah. Don't bore me with some petty magic". Liah groaned in anger and disappeared.
I entered my room and went through my wardrobe to find the towels. I was still searching in my wardrobe when my door banged shut. I turned around to see queen Qarinah. I was shocked. "Wha... what are... How, how did you ge.., get in here" I stuttered as I move back in fear. "I get into wherever I desire to Diana. Come now, have you not missed me? Your all loving and adorable step mother or should I call it queen?" Qarinah responded as she slowly approached me.
"Stay back Qarinah, if you get any closer I'll kill you" I said as I finally got the courage and pulled my sword. "Oh stop this little games Diana. You and I know well that you can't stop me, even with the entire sword in this castle" as she said that, with a wave, she made the sword in my hands fly into the thing air, completely out of my reach. "Do you want something more?" She said making a huge flame appear in her palms and quickly threw it at me. I was lucky enough to snap out of the way and the flame hit the wardrobe and set it ablaze. "Please Qarinah, stop this" I begged and called out to Louisa "Louisa!, Louisa!"
"She can't hear you. This door is shut out my little step daughter. You know I've missed you. Tron has been so quiet and empty without you. You know I almost get sick when I think of you. I wonder if you're alright, will you be able to handle your vampire husband?, do you miss me?, are you ever going to visit Tron again?." She laughs "I worry too much you know. Way too much. Well a mother should be worried about her daughter, I mean..." I thought she was distracted from talking too much so I flung a dagger at her but she halted it before it could penetrate her flesh, I flung another one and same thing happened. "Don't get on my nerves Diana. I thought we were having a good conversation but no. I see you love action" as she said it, she pulled of her hand gloves and started coming closer to me. I was so scared that went on my knees and pleaded to be set free as I cried. "Please, please, don't do this, please" I pleaded while sobbing.
"Why should I not?, you turned my daughter against me. My only child, now she detests me. She would do anything to destroy me" she said in anger and frustration.
"No you're wrong, she's always and will always be on your side, Louisa loves you very much, more than you can understand and she wants to save you not destroy you. She'll never do something like that to you" I tried to convince her. She seemed convinced at first but then her evil trait took control of her. "Liar!!!" She screamed and hurried and bent over to lay her deadly hands on me. Her hand was just 2 inches away from my body when another hand stopped hers. I was waiting for her hands to sniff life out of me but when I didn't feel her hands on me, I looked up to see what or who had stopped her. Torren. Yes it was Torren. He is back and alive. And whole again. Qarinah looked up at him, she stared right into his eyes looking shocked and scared at the same time "impossible!". Torren had claws drawn out of his fingers and he swiftly slit her wrist and send her falling towards the other side of the room and she banged her head against the wall. I didn't care about Qarinah at that moment. I quickly stood up and ran to my husband throwing my arms around his neck, not minding the blood dripping down his fingers. I had tears of joy rushing out of my eyes "I missed you Torren, I missed you so much" I said as tears still streamed down to my cheeks. Torren also wrapped his hands around me, lifted me up and gently placed his lips on mine. "I missed you more wifey. I really did but right now I have some unfinished business with your step mother" he said and dropped me. That was when I noticed Qarinah was already standing right behind us holding her wrist which Torren slit. "I don't know how you managed to get passed the effects of that poison, neither do I know how you managed to cut through my flesh. You have no such power over an immortal being" Qarinah said in anger.
"Doesn't that mean only one thing to you?, Qarinah you are smarter than this come on" Torren said.
Qarinah thought for a while and widened her eyes in realization, then shaking her head slowly "No. No you did not" .
"Well, yes I did not, Luther did, Qarinah Luther already stripped off your immortality powers and in just a blink of an eye I can finish you off" Torren said. He looked really angry, I was still hiding behind him. "That will not be difficult, but I won't make it easy for you Torren" Qarinah said and tried to move but she couldn't, she groaned in frustration and sent a black flame towards us, it hit Torren but nothing happened. "Do not think that you can destroy me with the powers I gave you, you have crossed the line Qarinah. You poisoned me but that's not my case. You chose to conquer my kingdom, not my case either. But trapping my wife and making an attempt on her life Qarinah, you'll pay for it" as he said it he blew Qarinah to the wall and magical chains appeared from the wall, wrapped around her wrists and locked her there.
"You can't do this Torren. You have magic, I have magic. We can be allies. You think I'm the greater threat here?. No you're wrong, Liah is. And she won't rest until....." She was still talking my Torren snapped a finger and muted her. She spoke but her words weren't heard, she tried tried to break free from the chains but she couldn't.
"And don't even think of using your magic. It's neutralized with those chains wrapped around your wrists" with that, he grabbed my hands and smiled at me, "let's go". I smiled back and fainted into his arms. He shook his head "drama queen" he then lifted me and left the room with me in his arms.
