"Did you hear that?" Mal asked. It was a loud hiss right behind us, my heart instantly stopped beating and dropped into my stomach.
If this is actually what I think it is then Mal and I are in serious trouble. That hiss sounded like Lamia's and Aurora was gone with Arnold. But I thought Arnold was leading us straight to Lamia, did he miss her tracks? How on earth did she suddenly get here and how do we wriggle out of this mysterious situation?
The hiss sounded louder the second time and Mal and I slowly turned around hoping to find lamia but instead we saw a giant snake, one could call it a Python. The Python outstretched itself in a manner that showed it was ready to hunt down it's prey.
"What in heaven's name is that?" Mal murmured as he pushed me to his back and covered me with his body in an attempt to protect.
