No progress at all. Of all the things that Lia had when she was a baby, not a single person knew where they came from. Even just to know the origin of wood, still, no one else knew.
Eventually the research spread by word of mouth. From one designer to another, from one scientist to another. They all struggled to find out where all the stuff came from.
Knowing the commotion, Neil decided to take back the things he had left. He insisted that "There are other people's fates at stake here. So if you just want to indulge your curiosity, then forget it. I'm going to take all these things right now!"
A lot of people stopped Neil, who was trying to buy time so they could re-examine all the stuff. But unfortunately, Neil still refused.
Finally, there was a request they piled up. They said, "Please tell the owner of this thing, in case he changes his mind and wants me to check his belongings again. I would be very happy to do so."
