Jake took out his phone from his back up with a slightly trembling hand. He looked at the caller ID and his face immediately froze and turned to a paler shade of his already pale skin.
"What's wrong?" The old lady saw the change in his face and was curious as to what could have happened.
"It's that person," Jake raised his head to look at the old lady who was giving him worried and concerned looks.
"The one you like?" the old lady asked.
"Y-yes," He slightly stuttered as he agreed to what he just said. His heart sank as he looked at the caller ID.
He was not planning to pick up the call but now that it was there, he did not know what to do anymore. He was battling against himself in whether he should simply cut it off or he should pick it up and speak to him one last time.
After talking with the old lady, his mind had cleared up a lot but that only made him realize how deep his feelings were for him.
