"Okay." she said opening the oven to pull them out, but then I remembered one important thing.
"They are hot, so don't forget your mittens."
"Huh? Oww" she yelped, and I dropped the ones is was icing and grabbed her hand running it under the tap.
"Now tell me Adriel, what would possess you to touch something right out of the oven with no protection?"
"I'm sorry mom. I guess that I just got a little distracted." she apologized and I sighed.
"Aww baby that's okay. We all make mistakes. Here, I'll go get the first aid kit and bandage it for you okay? Keep it under the water to numb the pain."
She nodded and I went for the kit passing by her father and brother.
"What's up?" he asked, and I shrugged.
