A month later…
After spring practice for the football league, Greg walked into the house smelling food cooking. Licking his lips, he knew his fiancé was cooking one of her specialties. Hearing giggles from the kitchen he knew the other voice was his best friend Eve.
"What up loser?" a voice came from the couch.
"Hunter? How the hell did you beat me here? We just left the stadium."
"My wife and I left early. Faith invited us for dinner."
Flopping down on the couch, Greg closed his eyes with a relieved sigh. The cool air of his beachfront AC felt amazing. "Coach has been kicking our ass this week."
"He says you're doing great. He thinks some little lady really lit a fire in you."
Smiling to himself Greg agreed. "I have a baby coming and getting married to the love of my life. I'm a happy man."
"I see that. I'm glad. We always knew you were right for my sister."
"So, you approve?"
