Later that day Eve was sitting on the floor in Hunter's family room playing dolls with Harper. Hunter sat watching the two most important people in his life having the time of their lives when a knock came to the front door.
"I'll get it. You two have fun."
Going down the hall to the foyer, something felt off. He couldn't explain the uneasy feeling he suddenly had until he opened the door and his worst nightmare stood before him.
"Hey baby. Miss me," Victoria said with a devious smirk. "Where's my daughter?"
As she tried to walk past, he blocked the entrance and stepped outside, closing the door behind him. "You're not welcome here. You need to leave. Harper doesn't need you here."
"She's my daughter Hunter. I have a right to see her any time I want."
"Get this straight, Victoria. MY daughter doesn't need you. You left us, remember. You stopped having any rights the moment you walked out that door."
