As Nick went into the delivery room with Chris, Sam sat as James scooted beside her. "You know now, huh?"
Sam looked over at him, "You knew, too? Just fucking great. Everyone knew but me. I must be a big joke to everyone, aren't I?"
"That's not true. You're not a joke."
"Really. Because you knew about it and apparently everyone else did too."
"Yes, Roxy told me a few months ago. My daughter really did a number on those two men, and she turned their worlds upside down. She hates herself for it, but she loves Chris and that baby more than anything."
"Then why even tell she was pregnant?"
"She still cares about him. The little one-nighter was because her and Chris got in a fight because she thought he cheated on her. They got drunk one night at a bar. It means nothing to either of them."
"Well, what did she expect was going to happen when you fuck around with everyone?"
