By that night Eric heard a car roll into the front yard. He curiously poked his head to the side to take a look out the window.
"Grandpa is back," Haolei excitedly shot up and went to the door and so did his grandmother.
Eric just sat there awkwardly not knowing what to do.
Soon a middle-aged man with a pot belly walked in with two of them fussing him beside him. The grandma pulled off her husband's coat and his grandson helped remove his hat, revealing his slightly balding head. His hair had already turned snow white with only a few specks of black hairs splashed here and there.
Eric eyes met his.
The grandpa froze. "who is this young lad?"
"Our new family member," Haolei added, massaging his grandad's shoulders. "I Decided to adopt him as my brother. He is your new grandson now. Jung, come here, meet your grandad."
