It was very late in the night that he reached the villa area. Thankfully, Yuna's house was completely dark, indicating that they had all headed off to bed. 'oh thank god.' With a loud sigh, he entered his small two-bed room house which was adjacent to the main villa.
"you're late," a soft voice interrupted him on his way to his room.
"ah!" Eric gazed to his right.
On the sofa was a figure sitting up right peering at him in the dark.
Eric stumbled around and switched on the lights. "I sent a message that I'll be late, didn't I?"
"yeah I got that..." Yuna just raised her brow at him. "what did you do today?"
"I.. I had a lot of work in the shop today."
"oh is that so?" she got up and walked up to him. Without a word, she hugged him tightly. "how do you feel?"
"I… I feel fine." Eric hugged her back. "why were you waiting so late, ah? You could have headed off to sleep." He gently patted her back.
