Aaron carried him for a while. In the dark of the night all Zhu Kang could see was darkness. The path they were taking did not even have street lights for god's sake. It was pitch black. Only the moonlight lit the way they flew.
"Why is it so far from the city?"
"It's for security purpose." Aaron whispered pulling him closer into his embrace.
"So no one can escape?"
He let out a throaty chuckle. "It's so that no normal humans can get to us. You might think it's funny but these humans have all the power to take us down. We supers are vulnerable to them,"
Zhu Kang pulled back to peer into his shining blue eyes. "Why? Aren't we strong with our powers? We can easily defeat them,"
"Not in that sense. They have the strength in number. A small campaign against us heroes can topple our entire organisation. They have the power of the press the media. They can manipulate it and make us seem like the enemy. In fact normal humans are our greatest enemy and our greatest friend,"
Zhu Kang did not understand this much. As far as he knew humans were not that prejudiced against supers. They welcomed them with open arms.
Rejoiced their success.
Always cheered for them.
How can these humans turn again them?
'It's not possible. right?...'
"It is possible," Aaron said which startled him a lot.
'Can he hear my thoughts?! oh shit.. oh fuck...'
"ha-ha... now you have that look on your face that says how did he know. You are easy to read Kang,"
Zhu Kang let out a breath of relief. "I'm expressive, what can we do about that."
"It's good, I like it," he gently touched his cheeks.
Kang moved back putting a distance from his hands. But he accidentally leaned back a bit too much. He felt it.... the loss of balance.
"ahh!"' he screamed tugging at his shirt.
Aaron immediately pulled him close. "Hold on, we are at 30 thousand feet. A fall from this height will shatter your skull in seconds,"
"ahgh.. you ass, hold me tight. Why are we even flying? Can't we take a cab or something?" Zhu Kang clung to him even tighter.
"we could have done that... but it would take a lot of time. Plus flying is fun, don't you think so," he slight juggled him.
"aghhhh you.. Stop that. Don't let go." He tugged at his hair hard.
"ow, now you are hurting me. I don't wish to be bald."
"I'll make you bald if you drop me you idiot..." Zhu Kang blushingly hugged his neck. At such a close proximity he could feel every dips and contours of his body. plus he was warm. He even smelled like freshly bakes oven.
He subtly sniffed his neck. 'Why does he smell like that? it smells so appetising.'
"Are you sniffing me Kang? Oh look at you getting so perverted." Aaron gently patted his butt.
"You! don't touch my butt!!" he squirmed around avoiding his hands.
Aaron just laughed breathily into his ears. "I have been touching your butt for a long time. Why do you feel sensitive now huh? Is it itchy here.." he squeezed his ass cheeks.
"ahhh! You pervert!"
"Okay I'll grab your waist then," his grabbed hold of his waist and gently squeezed it.
"This is assault! Assault I tell you," Kang shouted glaring at him intensely.
Aaron just smiled at him softly and let go of his ass. "Sorry mister Kang. If I might ask how can I hold you when I can't even touch you.?"
"Mister Aaron Zain, just let me down. I'll get a cab,"
Aaron chuckled loudly and stared to fly faster. "You will run away. I won't allow that,"
Grumbled incoherently Zhu Kang just gave in. He hugged him tightly. 'If I can't get down I might as well enjoy the ride..'
They passed through a cloud. He reached out and touched it. Small mist droplets covered his entire hand making it slight wet. "Don't you get cold? What happens when there is a thunder storm? won't you get hit? What about rain? Won't you get wet?"
"so many questions..." Aaron hugged him tightly. "Well.. I enjoy getting wet. It does feel cold. My face sometimes freezes. Thunder storm.... well I try my best to fly above it."
"What about Altren? Won't he get his powers form the thunder and lightning?"
"Yeah, I guess so. That brat flies under absorbing all the thunder in the sky. He is a walking thunder pole. It's better not to be close to him when it rains. There is a high possibly you might get hit by a thunder bolt as well," he warned him slightly.
Zhu Kang chuckled. "Noted.."
Aaron slowed down a bit. And they were getting lower.
"Are we there yet?"
"yep, we are here,"
Zhu Kang nervously looked down. There was a huge compound gate down there with a high wall almost higher than ten foot. There was also a electrified wire sparkling slightly at some junction points.
"You have an electrified gate?!"
"Yep, to avoid unnecessary trouble..."
Zhu Kang gulped. 'How am I even going to pass though this? Even my system market place does not have such artefacts.'
He had seen an artefact there that will help withstand electricity up to certain volts. But.... it's fucking costly! And rare!
'To earn that many coins I might have to do daily task as well as those stupid main tasks! No!!! I don't want to!'
"Umm do we get weekend offs?"
"You do, but you are not allowed outside." Aaron casually said.
'so this is ....Technically it's a fucking jail for supers! Ah I hate it so much! Can I go back home now please!! Please!!!! System, do something, hit this guy with a thunder bolt or something! I want to run!'
