Kang laid on the ground glaring at the bright ceiling. The kids were all curled up beside him snoring loudly.
'System? Are you there? Give me my daily task?'

'Che, I ran for so long yet you just gave me two coins….' He sadly pouted. Somehow, his heart was slightly leaning towards the target task. 'Don't mention the target task… just tell me how many coins will be gifted.'

"I knew it. This is discrimination." He grumbled, sitting up.
"whee woo whee wooo.." a loud siren rang in the training room.
The kids all woke up in a dazed state.
"Hurry everyone, go to the safety bunkers!" the old man came running.
The kids were still sleepy.
Kang lifted as many as he could in his arms. "What safety bunker? What's going?"
"We're under attack. Go go," he hurriedly led the kids over to the corner of the room. a small door opened, leading them to a metal box-like structure.
Kang led the kids inside and sat along with them. "Who's attacking us? Is it even safe in here?"
The old man did not answer his questions. "The opening button is there. Don't open it unless the sirens are off. Even so, be careful. I'll come get you. Kids behave, don't do anything naughty, okay. I'll give you all two candies if you behave," he softly whispered.
The little radish heads nodded cutely.
"Kang, take care of them," he whispered and closed the door.
His heart was beating a mile a minute.
"Uncle Zhu, it's okay." Chu Gan leaned onto his bent knees. "The superheroes will take care of everything. We just need to wait…"
That was not what worried him. He had a small fear that the intruder might possibly be his beloved brother.
'I hope it's not you, Gwyn. I hope it's not… trying to infiltrate this high-security prison is equal to signing your death warrant…..'
His hands started to tremble in panic.
'System… is there any way to find out who infiltrated this place?'

"yes yes, do it,"
Chu Gan weirdly looked at him. "Uncle Zhu, you okay?"
"I'm fine kid. Just nervous that's all…" he whispered.
The system displayed an exclusive notification with the surveillance camera live video. Three figures fully donned in black were seen trying to enter the gate. The one super who checked their baggage was fighting one of them.
The two slipped into the training area right outside them. Aaron charged in and fought with the both of them.
'Fuck things are getting heated…'
The fight was intense. The villain seems to be able to control some sort of ice energy. even while Fighting with Aaron's immense heat, the villain was on par with each him.
"Bang!" the glass of the classroom shattered from the immense pressure of their combined powers.
Kang carefully held the kids close. Some were silently sobbing and some were crying loudly.
"shh shh…" he pulled the little girl in piggy tails and kissed her head. "It's okay. I'm here. I'm here." He whispered ever so softly.
"yeah we are going' to be okay,"' Chu Gan whispered softly.
The door banged once again.
Kang peered at the surveillance. The two were fighting right in their training ground. Huge fire balls flew around. The villain blocked it all with his ice walls.
Suddenly, the display stopped.
'What?! What happened! Hey system!'

'What do you mean insignificant? I used one coin to open that surveillance! Give mem back y money,!!'

'you biatch of a system! I hate you!!! You ate all my money!!!'
He internally cried… hugging the kids closer.
Weirdly so, the room started to get heated up..
He pulled down the zipper a little, letting the heat soak in. 'why am I so hot?.'
He glanced around. Even the kid's forehead was sweat with sweat droplets as well. any parts that were exposed outside the suit were getting hot… 'it's not just me. Fuck, the room is getting heated.
Aaron's powers were more like the sun. It can heat up and burn anything that is in close proximity. Most likely the stupid guy had accidentally attacked the secure room door.
He touched the metal walls. They were started to get heated up.
'We are in a fucking oven. If we stay here longer we will be roasted alive..'
Kang hurriedly calmed himself down. "Kids can anyone use ice energy? Wind maybe? Can anyone do that?"
The kids glanced at him, shaking their heads.
Chu Gan wiped his sweat into his arm. "We are the second class. All special powers are in the first class uncle Zhu,"
'We are fucking screwed. Either we get out of here or we get cooked alive.'
He took a deep breath and zipped his suit up.
"Hey Chu, can our suits handle the heat?"
"No it can regulate it, but it doesn't make us fireproof,"
"I guessed so." He stood up in the cramped room. "Chu I need your help."
"What is it?" the kid excitedly peered up at him.
"We might have to get out of this room and out of here. I need you to talk to your friends and convince them. Oh, and I also need to know what the nearby safe place is."
He was relatively new to this place so he had absolutely no clue where the hidden safe spots like this one were. All he can do is depend on a small six-year-old to help him out with his plan.
"There is one in our classroom."
Their classroom was right next door. If they can get out of here unscathed they can go to this safe room.
"Yes, kids listen up we are going to have to leave this place."
They all started to tear up.
"-but is not safe out there.." a girl cutely whispered.
"I know, I know, but it's not safe in here as well. The room is being heated up by Aaron's attack. If we don't leave now, we will be hurt very badly. All we need to do is calmly walk out of here and go to our classroom. Can you guys do that?" he said in a soft tone.
The younger ones were still sniffing and sobbing.
"Yea! We are heroes! This is our moment to prove it!" Chu Gan shouted.
The kids stopped crying and wiped their tear-filled eyes. "b-but… we kids…"
"Yes we are kids. But we are also supers. The situation is calling for us. We have to save our lives. Be brave!"
This restored the calmness in the room.
Kang was pleasantly surprised. He knew that Chu gan had leadership skills but this guy was surprisingly a good influencer as well.
In just a few seconds he was able to calm the sobbing kids and encouraged them to be brave heroes.
"Good now listen to me. All of you stay behind my back. If there is a bright red light on the ground or any bright light coming towards you it is an ouchi. You can't approach it. You can't touch it,"
Chu scoffed. "We know what fire is uncle,"
He awkwardly smirked. "Oh, okay. If you see fire don't get close, don't touch it, and if you see hero Zain don't get close to him as well. We need to get out of his attack range and to a safe place. Got it?"
Some looked genuinely confused.
Sighing, he whispered, "Just stay behind me at all times. Pair up as two. Keep each other safe. Don't take risk. Do not engage with the villain! I repeat do not fight the villains! That's the superhero's job."
"we… superheroes?…" one kid mumbled patting his chest.
"Not so soon. We are kids. We act like kids. What do kids do in danger?"
They all looked confused.
"Kids run and hide. We must all do that."
"But you are old…." Another one mumbled.
Seriously at times like this Kang could not handle their endless question.
"I'll stay back and fight. I'm an adult and I will protect you all. Kids hide, adults protect, got it?
The radish heads finally looked like they understood.
Zhu Kang slightly panted. The heat on there was getting worse. It was getting harder to breathe as well.
"Pair up, hold hands and don't let go okay,"
The kids paired up.
He glanced back. They were all smaller than his knees. All plump and flushed. 'fuck…. This is getting serious. What if something happens to them,. What if I can't take care of them?'
"Uncle Zhu?" Chu gan tugged at his clothes. "You got this,"
Taking a deep breath, Kang nodded. "yes.. yes I do."
He pressed the button, and the door opened.
