[West Wing of the Imperial Palace]
Elizabeth opened her palms, stopping in the middle of the open landscape, on her way to meet her soldiers. Her eyes watched the dark liquid landing on her palm, curling her fingers as she looked up. Blood grazed her naturally contoured cheek while her breathing suspended.
"I have a terrible feeling about this," she whispered through her gritted teeth, shifting her eyes around the vast expanse. Her golden eyes constricted as they shifted in red. They landed on the ground that was slowly turning black, making her heart pound against her ribcage.
"What the hell..." came out under her breath, canines growing longer while her fingers stretched until they were sharp claws.
