I didn't know what got into me, but somehow Sven convinced me to sneak out with him. I never snuck out of the castle. Not because I was too afraid to do that, but more like I didn't have the spare energy to deal with the duke once the word reached his radar.
So why… am I standing in the middle of this brightly lit street somewhere near the border of the duchy?
"Welcome!" I snapped my eyes as Sven suddenly jumped in front of me. His lips were stretching from ear to ear and his arms were spread wide open as if I was the one who wasn't a resident here.
"This is the night market where you find all types of illegal things!! Human organs, live killing —"
"You're joking, right?"
Sven grinned and laughed. "Of course! Hah!"
"It's not funny." I heaved a sigh of relief but glared at him when I recovered. I should kick him at least once in this lifetime.
