Adrik, seated on the sofa, stared at Leia, who was dressing up. A low sigh fled from his mouth, and he helplessly rubbed his temple.
Leia zipped up her sweatpants and wore a white singlet. She wore a black long jacket on top of it and slid her feet into her black shoes. She walked to the mirror and grabbed a comb to comb her hair, then turned to gaze at Adrik when she was done.
She strolled over to him, seeing the reluctant look on his face, and sat down on his lap. She warmly hugged him and placed a soft kiss on his lips. "I will be back, Adrik, just wait for me." She smiled lovingly at him, and Adrik slowly nodded at her. He pulled her into a tight hug, and a deep breath fled from his nose. "Please be safe. I love you, little wife."
"I love you too, Adrik." She kissed his cheek and tucked a few strands of his hair behind his ear, then stood up from his lap and moved to grab a black bag on the bed.
