She questioned him, and Adriik pinched between his brows.
"Little wife, I know that, but still-"
"But still, what, Adrik? What if we never find her on time and the thing overgrows and overwhelms her? What if it... takes over her and-"
"Little wife! C'mon, we can't be negative now. Don't think of those negative things, okay?" He stood up from the couch and walked towards her, then planted a soft kiss on her forehead. "Everything will be fine. Though it may not be easy to find her now, believe me, we will. And in the meantime, I will continue looking for the vine of life, so we can heal her once we find her, alright." He smiled warmly at her, and she slowly nodded at him before embracing him tightly. "I love you."
"I love you too." He gently caressed her hair and took a low breath.
