Zeke almost lost his nerves in frenzy and dismay. His teeth started to chatter, yet he was uncertain whether it was due to the chilly air or the possibility that the man in front of him might close himself off to the world. Right now, he could not afford to care where this sinking dread came from, nor how it was possible for someone like him to feel like this. His mind went utterly blank, only his gaze was transfixed on those silver eyes that were as bottomless as the abyss itself.
